Our Story
Hello! My name is Kenny, and I’m the founder of My Wedding Vendor – a project born out of my own experience planning a wedding and recognizing the challenges that couples face when searching for the right vendors.
I asked my fiancée Molly to marry me in the Fall of 2024 on a trip to Glacier National Park. During our hike to Avalanche Lake, I surprised Molly with a moment she didn’t expect and one I’ll always remember.
Once we hiked up to the lake, we found a beautiful and secluded spot to take pictures. To get the perfect shot, I spent far too long adjusting my tripod, stubbornly ignoring Molly’s perfectly reasonable suggestion for where to place it and where we should stand. Molly was puzzled by my insistence, but when I finally got the tripod set up and dropped to one knee, her expression was priceless. With the stunning lake as our backdrop, Molly said yes, and we shared a perfect moment surrounded by nature’s beauty.
Why Create My Wedding Vendor?
As we began planning our big day, I took the lead on researching wedding photographers. That’s when I quickly realized how difficult it can be to find professionals whose style aligned with our vision and whose pricing fit within our budget.
Too often, I’d find a photographer whose work I loved, only to discover they were well beyond what we could afford. Other times, I’d find someone within our price range, but their style didn’t match the aesthetic we were looking for. And in many cases, pricing information wasn’t even available without reaching out directly.
That experience led me to create a platform that makes the vendor discovery process easier, more transparent, and better tailored to each couple’s needs.
My Background
Professionally, I bring a background in customer research and data analysis. I spent several years as a Customer Research Analyst for one of the largest insurance companies in the U.S., where I specialized in developing surveys and analyzing customer feedback to help shape business decisions.
That same approach – one grounded in research, thoughtful design, and data-driven insights – guides the work I’m doing here. My goal is to help couples make confident decisions more easily, and to help vendors connect with clients who are genuinely excited about what they offer.
